Denise Lee is the Deputy Director of Children and Family Services with Sacramento Employment Training Agency (SETA) Head Start/Early Head Start Program. SETA serves more than 6,000 children and families county-wide. Denise has been with SETA for more than 18 years working in a variety of capacities including administration, grant writing, monitoring, technology and education/special education and mental health. Before joining the Head Start team, she taught in public elementary school in San Jose, California and overseas in Madrid, Spain. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the California Head Start Association and attended the Johnson and Johnson Head Start Management Fellows Program at the University of Los Angeles, Anderson School of Business in 2006. Denise earned her Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach in 1989 and her Master’s degree from University of California, Davis in 2001.
